Dr. Julie Hakim is a trilingual Canadian and U.S. board-certified OBGYN and Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in Pediatric Gynecology at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, Texas. Co-founder of FemTech Focus and founder of SomosGyn, Dr. Hakim is dedicated to advancing technology and services that improve women’s health.
She is an expert in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, vaginal wound healing and repair, and the development of medical devices for gynecologic conditions, specifically with girls who have had recent gynecologic surgery or women who have received pelvic or vaginal radiation. Having treated thousands of patients throughout the past 25 years, she has become an expert with most scenarios in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is the recipient of multiple awards for exemplary and compassionate service in adolescent girls’ and women’s health including the John P. McGovern Foundation Champion for Women’s Health and Wellness Award and the Texas Children’s Hospital Caught You Caring Award.
